My name is Swan Roberts, and I am a licensed therapist, clinical social worker. Before becoming a therapist, I was in the U.S. army for 2.5 years as a medic, 68w. I decided to become a therapist because I have always enjoyed helping people, and when I was getting out of the army, I had my own therapist to help me through that transition, which inspired me to follow this career path. I look forward to helping you on this healing journey. I have experience utilizing IFS, EMDR, and CBT with clients who are working through trauma, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and addiction issues. View 3 Photos When people experience trauma and stress, there is a tendency to develop a zoomed in view of the problem and even blame oneself for the root of the problem. I love to utilize evidence based interventions, such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I am very passionate and excited about this work. I look forward to getting to know you and the issues that brought you to therapy, as well as those strengths that you already have that help you get through each day. After getting to know you better, we will enhance and reinforce those strengths, start processing trauma, and begin the healing journey.
