I focus on building a trusting relationship through empathy, caring, and compassion. In my practice I incorporate aspects of relational and psychodynamic approaches, including mindfulness and an awareness of the mind/body connection, to facilitate change and promote healing. I honor each individual's uniqueness, diversity, and cultural influences, and use these to guide me as a clinician to provide support, identify existing strengths, and work towards health, well-being, and happiness. I am a licensed mental health clinician and board certified dance movement therapist with ten years experience working with issues of depressed mood, anxiety, PTSD, grief/loss, physical health issues, identity, developmental stages, and aging. I use verbal processing with the option of creative/expressive approaches including journaling, poetry, art, music, movement, dance and yoga. I am dedicated to helping people get the support and encouragement they need to get through life's transitions by building on strengths and relationships that lead to a more fulfilling life.
