Sometimes we notice that we could use assistance to successfully negotiate life's challenges. Perhaps it's facing challenging transitions, struggling with anxiety or depression, becoming increasingly worried about one's relationships, dealing with trauma or loss, or struggling professionally. I offer individual therapy for adults as well as couples' therapy and/or family therapy where addictions and/or traumas are having negative impacts. I create a safe environment for people to identify goals, take emotional risks and develop an individualized path toward reaching their goals and maximizing their full potential. I bring warmth and compassion to each therapeutic encounter and relationship. I work with adults from all walks of life who may be struggling with grief, relationship and family problems, vocational difficulties, and/or simply finding their way in life in difficult times. I trained in the post-graduate psychological trauma treatment certificate program at BU. I am trained in EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Guided Imagery. I have a special interest and considerable training and experience in working with people, families, systems and institutions that have experienced trauma, particularly with survivors of child abuse, neglect and developmental traumas. I have undertaken extensive professional training, education and clinical supervision to help me develop skills in working with these issues.
