About

I have been a practicing psychotherapist for the past 25 years. My philosophy, which draws from both cognitive and psychodynamic theories, emphasizes an empowering, solution-focused approach. Psychotherapy sessions encourage self-awareness, coping skills, problem solving, boundary setting, self-acceptance, assertiveness, and creating a healthy balance in life and relationships. My specialties include working with patients that struggle with Anxiety, Depression, and ADHD.

My expertise lies in helping clients with family conflict, life transitions, stress management, health issues, infertility and bereavement. I have a particular interest in parenting issues and expertise in helping clients to strengthen their parenting skills and manage specific challenges related to child rearing.

I graduated from Columbia University and received a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work from New York University. Prior to being in private practice I was a psychotherapist in the outpatient mental health department of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and in the Stamford public school system.
