About

I approach the therapy relationship with empathy and curiosity. I will listen deeply to your story and will always try to understand your concerns in the context of your world. I specialize in depth-oriented therapy. As a family psychologist, I see patients of all ages: individuals, couples, and families. I focus on understanding the meanings of body symptoms and physical illness. I incorporate mindfulness, breath, and other practices which integrate the latest brain research. As a cis white woman, my work incorporates my growing awareness of the sociocultural and political forces which impact BIPOC and LGBTQ2S+ communities.

Throughout my career, I have counseled individuals, couples, and families in crisis. I also act as a senior consultant to other therapists. My continuing education has focused on the impact of early trauma on our lives, in particular, my Sensorimotor Psychotherapy training makes me acutely aware of how our bodies express and hold our life experiences.

Recognizing that we may need help in some aspect of our lives is a courageous act. Working together in a collaborative way, we can identify the causes of the challenges which you face. Using your individual strengths, together we can build creative strategies to address these challenges and enhance the quality of your life.
