About

Was your childhood often painful, difficult, or scary? Did you feel alone, invisible, or unloved? Maybe the past is just a blank. Or are you going through a difficult time in your life, frozen with worry, grieving, or overwhelmed and exhausted? Do you need to leave a situation that feels abusive or break a toxic pattern? Repeated disturbing memories, physical sensations, thoughts, or dreams can be signs of trauma. It may feel hard to be your real self, or that you over-react and can't stop. Your feelings might be extreme. Whether these are new or recurring symptoms, you can heal and lead a healthier and more authentic life.

Our brains/bodies react to Trauma, like death or disasters, as well as "t" trauma like chronic fear or pain. Both can lead to symptoms with wide-ranging effects on our lives. I'll help you understand what's happening; process memories, past feelings or relationships; and give you techniques to counteract the effects of trauma and care for yourself better.

Be proud you're reaching out! You didn't cause the trauma! You may feel guilt, shame, fear, rage, or low self-worth. All of you and all of the healing process are accepted and valid. We start where you are and move at a comfortable pace. You decide our goals. Giving details about trauma is optional, but we can talk about anything you need to talk about.
