Therapists » Pre-Licensed Professional
Before I became a therapist, I was a family-advocate for people with mental health issues for many years. My desire to help people came from a lifetime of involvement on "the other side" of mental health services, navigating the system from the vantage point of a family member. That experience fueled my desire to become a clinician who can both treat and understand. When you come to see a therapist there must be a trust built that not only are they qualified to help you, but they will approach your issues from an empathetic place. I approach each client with the aim to understand your unique situation and offer you a non-judgmental place for healing and hope. My educational background centered around public health and epidemiology. I see counseling as a place where neuroscience and a client's personal beliefs can integrate to support the therapeutic process.
