Sue Ann earned her Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Mississippi and her Master of Social Work Degree (MSW) with a concentration in geriatric and elderly issues from the University of Alabama. Sue Ann has provided Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) to individuals and groups as a certified CISM specialist since 2003. Sue Ann has clinical experience working with clients of all ages, with the goal of helping clients better their lives by making sense of life stressors through personal growth and gaining new perspecitives and insights.

Each person is unique, thereby bringing unique and individual strengths and experiences into the therapeutic relationship. Sue Ann utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), focusing on the client and the client/therapist relationship. A key aspect of therapy is providing the client with a safe and nonjudgmental environment in which to grow.

Sue Ann and her husband of 45+ years have three grown sons and an 11 year old Boxer baby. They have lived in the deep south and the northeastern part of the country, and relocated to NC in 2015.
