My work as a counselor and coach has been to help individuals who are struggling with weight related issues and the emotions that are connected to problematic eating patterns. My focus, with clients, has been to offer cognitive and behavioral retraining in a supportive and non-judgmental space. My goal is to help you to implement change by assisting you to identify your personal relationship to food, how and why problematic eating patterns have taken shape in your life, and how to change these patterns. We will focus on how cognitive and behavioral changes can help shift eating patterns with the goal of improved overall health, a more positive self-view, and weight loss success. I am well versed in the area of weight related challenges, as well as in counseling patients at all stages of the weight loss surgery process. I have been the mental health provider at the BIDMC weight loss center for the last 16 years.
