Sue-Ann Simpson (she/her) is a late diagnosed Autistic therapist who enjoys working with populations that have been historically underserved or marginalized. She believes in the power of empathy, validation, being non-judgmental, and providing unconditional positive regard to create an environment where clients can feel safe, comfortable, and seen. Sue-Ann pulls from a variety of modalities, but primarily: Strengths Based, Person Centered, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. First she will get to know you and what you're looking for out of therapy, then you will work together to figure out the best path to walk together. From Yalom's "The Gift of Therapy", Sue-Ann believes that the people she works with are less "clients" and more "fellow travelers" on a voyage through life. She looks forward to and genuinely enjoys getting to know others and bearing witness to the healing power of the therapeutic relationship.
