About

Put most simply, my approach to psychotherapy is centered around helping you come to know yourself as fully as possible. Many people come to me in search of a more depth-oriented approach to therapy. Many approaches out there right now, in the interest of attempting to reduce symptoms as quickly as possible, may miss the mark in terms of understanding the “why” of it all, the more nuanced understanding of why our difficulties and symptoms are there to begin with, how they actually may have been serving us in some way, and their connection to our relational patterns and our past developmental experiences.

It is my hope, that through the mutual trust and collaborative curiosity that we develop together, we can examine these things as honestly as possible, and in doing so, we can facilitate growth that runs deeper and more meaningfully than simply eliminating one’s symptoms.

My approach rests on the notion that when one begins moving towards increased self-awareness, developing an honest and open curiosity about oneself, and finds a willingness to tolerate the discomfort that can often come with change, real growth can occur. It is always an honor to begin work with someone new. I look forward to speaking with you.
