About

There is no ideal client. Each client is a unique subject who has been shaped by an infinitely complex set of circumstances; family, culture and inherited predispositions. The one thing that they have in common is that somehow there is a sense that things are somehow not right and yet still entertain a suspicion that things can improve. Working in an open, honest and interactive way, marked by curiosity, compassion and courage we will work together to discover patterns and styles that hinder the experience of joy, intimacy and achievement. Together we will work to overcome the crisis of debilitating guilt, anxiety and depression.

My training is working with people who are interested in exploring how they operate in the world, especially as it is revealed in the therapeutic relationship. Clients will not be mystified by complex theory, but will know that I am intent on establishing a deep communication that will allow us to carefully explore destructive patterns and seek solutions.

My emphasis is to enter into a non-judgemental interpersonal relationship with each client. The goal is to collaborate using curiosity, creativity and compassion to understand where wounds and defenses tend to cut off the capacity to love, feel and act. Sometimes the work progresses quickly and sometimes it develops over years of working together.
