About

As an Individual Psychology and Humanistic professional counselor, I believe you, the client, have the ability to choose how best to resolve your problems and make decisions with my assistance as facilitator. You are responsible for your behaviors, thoughts, and feelings and are the world's leading expert on yourself. I encourage you to develop greater self-awareness and mental health through life experiences, building increased confidence, self-esteem, independence, and capacity to effectively navigate the challenges of life. I believe your sense of self-awareness and ability to make healthy choices are key to developing self-direction and independence.

My techniques are drawn from the Adlerian model and Person-Centered therapies and other counseling techniques appropriate for your situation. In couples, marriage and family counseling, I will incorporate systems techniques. For substance abuse therapy, we will focus on more cognitive and behavioral techniques to assist you in your recovery.

Effective counseling techniques will provide methods to solve problems by maximizing your strengths and providing encouraging support for you during your growth periods. I attempt to incorporate the entire family, when appropriate, to help you achieve balance and harmony while organizing and achieving your life goals.
