My personal approach to therapy and assessment utilizes a compassionate, non-judgmental, encouraging style. I work with clients to clarify their values, goals, and the meanings they create in their lives with a focus on how they address the five tasks of life: love, work, friendship, self-care, and spirituality. Treatment planning consists of developing strategies and skills to master these life tasks. Assessment includes Fitness, Sanity, and Mitigation Evaluations, Damages Assessment, USCIS N-648 evaluations and more. I base my therapeutic and assessment work on the theories of Alfred Adler. I consider biological, psychological, and social factors to identify problem areas and intervention strategies. I have experience working with a range of biopsychosocial issues: mood, anxiety, personality, relationship and educational struggles in the community and courtroom settings. The doctor-patient relationship is a collaboration between equal partners. Exploration of The Self is a joyous adventure taken with faith, optimism and courage to accomplish improved life satisfaction. My skills include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Communication Training, EMDR, and Hypnosis. I use humor and storytelling to communicate ideas and strategies.
