My name is Stephen Wallinger and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counseling Associate (LMHCA). For the past 5 years I’ve been an Elementary School Counselor where I worked with children (ages 5-11), families, and school staff. During that time I gained a wide range of experience supporting individuals of all ages who are facing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and suicidal ideation, as well as issues related executive functioning and individuals with ASD. Additionally, I supported families and staff by connecting them to evidence based resources and provided various strategies to further help individuals overcome challenges. I believe the relationship between therapist and client is foundational to the process of healing and growing. It is my priority to develop genuine relationships with my clients so we can safely have difficult conversations, resolve conflicts, learn new strategies, and achieve therapeutic goals. I use a trauma informed approach with a blend of modalities. I believe that therapy should be tailored to the individual so that together we can discover what is going to work best for you based on your values, strengths, perspectives, and life experience. If I seem like a good fit for you, or if you have questions for me, please don't hesitate to reach out!
