Life can really be difficult sometimes. Now more than ever, people are battling feelings of isolation, fear, anger, and sadness that may be affecting them in ways they can’t really understand. While dealing with these feelings can be very disheartening, it is important that you know that you are not alone. My name is Stephen Lopez and I am a Licensed Social Worker in the State of Texas. For several years I have worked as a mental health specialist for youth in school systems, medical facilities, and residential treatment programs. My passion revolves around providing young people a space to be themselves, share their thoughts and ideas, and work through the issues that matter most to them. When I meet with young people, I want them to steer the conversation. Ultimately, you know your situation better than I do. In session, I utilize various therapeutic elements from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing with a foundation in Mentalization.
