My promise to you is that I will listen and genuinely try to understand what you are going through. Because I care about you, I will be respectful, but honest. My mission is to help you search for the answers, skills and strength needed to make changes that will put you in a position to cope with the circumstances of your life. Since many of those dilemmas are often the result of self-defeating thoughts, I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Exposure Response Therapy. I am EMDR trained for anxiety and trauma related counseling and healing. For many years I have focused my work on relationships, trauma, family conflict, marriage, depression, anxiety, grief, anger and sexual identity issues. Besides my own Iife experiences, years of working with individuals, families and adolescents have given me insights that can be useful to you as you navigate your world. We all reach points in our lives when we could use a caring, outside perspective to help us view things from a different angle. As a therapist, I believe that honesty, trust and collaboration with clients is critical to successful therapeutic outcomes. My goal is to listen and help you find the answers to your life struggles.
