My ideal client would be new to therapy, though motivated to change. I am aware of the challenges that come with seeking therapy and want to be a support to those who are hesitant with the process. Ideally, I would like a client who is self-aware, receptive to feedback, and willing to hold themselves accountable. View 7 Photos I believe in a compassionate approach to foster healing and resilience. Various therapeutic techniques are implemented, including CBT, DBT, strength-based, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused; however, I believe therapy is a collaborative process. Sessions will focus on providing support and utilizing a strengths-based approach to achieve change. I will be nonjudgmental, supportive, and compassionate toward my clients regardless of the circumstances or past transgressions. When we are hurting, we try to mitigate that pain in whatever way we know, and sometimes those ways aren’t always beneficial. I feel it is important for clients to gain self-compassion and self-forgiveness to be their best selves.
