About

It is important to me for clients to feel comfortable and safe as we build our therapeutic alliance together. I take a collaboration approach assisting clients in developing and incorporating coping mechanisms to resolve and manage issues impacting their lives. Helping people find their voice and develop a mind of awareness and the ability to make wise mind choices for change. "Healing takes courage, and we all have courage, even if we have to dig a little to find it." - Tori Amos.

My approach to helping clients move forward from personal or life challenges is establishing an understanding that symptoms do not define you as a person. Advocating that you are more then what you are experiencing.

When traveling the GPS offers multiple routes and we can choose to take a different direction if one does not fit our needs. I encourage clients to view counseling in a similar manner; validating we can always change the direction or approach. Exploring what work best for my clients as individuals is exciting to me as a therapist!
