The focus of my practice is treating adults who have anxiety and OCD-spectrum disorders such as OCD, Hair-Pulling Disorder (Trichotillomania), Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia, Social Anxiety Disorder, Phobias, Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Skin-Picking Disorder, and perfectionism. In private practice since 2006, I use evidence-based treatments of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP). I am a compassionate and caring provider who enjoys helping patients set and meet their personal goals in treatment. Anxiety disorders ARE treatable. CBT is an interactive, goal-oriented treatment approach that centers on identifying and altering unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors. I work collaboratively and actively with each patient to set individualized goals, teach and practice helpful skills, change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, and improve quality of life. I am a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), The Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT), the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF), the Trichotillomania Learning Center (TLC), and the Florida Psychological Association (FPA).
