About

For the last decade I have specialized in GRIEF and loss. This includes often hard to find support for those grieving the death of a child, the death of an adult sibling, and a death by suicide or substance use/overdose. I serve those facing anticipatory grief due to a terminal illness diagnosis and those adjusting to life-changing MEDICAL diagnoses (for themselves or a loved one). CHANGES and transitions including parenthood, re-partnering, empty-nesting, and aging in place are another focus of my work. Even positive changes can sometimes bring us anxiety and sadness and lead to feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, and "stuck".

If you are feeling alone, uncertain, or unprepared as you face these challenges, I'd like to help you navigate these by providing a safe, neutral, and non-judgmental space dedicated to you, your needs, and your hopes. I serve individuals, couples, and families. I have experience guiding and mediating communication within couples and family systems.

My approach is strengths-based and solution-focused. I draw from a systems perspective. I will incorporate your values, culture, traditions, and faith/spirituality into our work as/if you choose. After decades in the field, I have seen the value of having a space where you -feel heard- gather feedback and new strategies- and- find hope and encouragement.
