My name is Stacey Ruiz and I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Southern California. I work with children and adolescents to help navigate feelings of anxiety, stress, and grief and loss, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and play-based interventions to help them begin feeling better. My approach to therapy starts with creating a safe and supportive space to identify each client's needs. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and play-based interventions to help my clients develop healthy thinking patterns and coping strategies. I enjoy working with children and adolescents, as well as, collaborating with their parent(s) or legal guardian(s). Most often, I help my clients learn to effectively manage their stress and/or anxiety surrounding friendships, life transitions, grief and loss, and self-esteem. I strive to provide a warm and secure space where open communication is highly welcomed and encouraged. We will work as a team and actively collaborate to reach your goals by leaning on your strengths and social support to help sustain your ongoing progress.
