About

I am a licensed clinical social worker and I have worked in the Western New York community since 1997. Over the years, I have treated many different people, from different backgrounds, with varying issues. Since my career experience in the field primarily comes from working with several different agencies over the course of my career, I have experience in providing therapy to people presenting with different issues including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, chronic pain and trauma. I have also worked with those whose mental health is impacted by dual-diagnosis issues. My experience includes working with adolescents and adults.

I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction). Over the years I have trainings focusing on the use of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy. Therapy should involve more than talk therapy. Coping must be a part of therapy for success.

Apart from specializing in anxiety, depression and trauma my work experience focuses on helping people who are struggling with chronic pain due to accident or persistent conditions. As a therapist, understanding one's medical issues is just as important as understanding the mind in order to understand the whole person.
