Couples are my specialty and I believe that if you both want your relationship to be fulfilling, there are ways we can get you there. Even if you think it’s impossible, I have faith in you, and will carry that faith until you can believe in yourselves again. Even if you are recovering from an affair or other infidelity, I believe you can rebuild the relationship, and I will help. I have been a Licensed Family and Marriage therapist since 2013, with much of my experience coming as part of a group practice that specializes in the issues of couples.I get it, relationships are not easy. It’s normal for couples to get stuck in unhealthy patterns and then be unable to break those patterns on their own. Each person gets emotionally tied down to their familiar role, and change becomes too risky.I primarily use Emotionally Focused Therapy tools to work with you. This empirically supported treatment helps you break the deeply imbedded habits. I help you restore the basic communication skills which have become partial or mis-communication, and now create distance and misunderstanding. In doing this, we learn what causes the distance, what causes you to react sometimes instead of responding, defend sometimes instead of opening.
