Welcome and congratulations on taking the first step on your healing journey! My name is Sonjiah Davis, most people call me Adwoa. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20+ years of experience. My favorite populations to work with are individuals in the LGBTQ+ communities, individuals from immigrant families especially from Africa and the Caribbean, young adults trying to navigate the world of aduIting, women who have survived abusive relationships working to reclaim their lives, and individuals with religious trauma. They have experienced trauma and abuse from being demeaned and misunderstood in a society rooted in a set of rigid, established norms that leave little room for diversity, individuality and creativity. I offer years of experience in trauma informed care and focus on the individual's wants and needs. I have always been an advocate for individual expression and freedom. I offer personal insight as well as clinical training to help individuals overcome any challenges they have faced on their road to personal healing and freedom.
