Sidney believes in creating a safe space for clients to reflect, work on self-acceptance, and build a DBT skillset that will help them navigate their emotions and interpersonal relationships more effectively. Sidney has curated these skills from her time specializing in treating high school and college aged clients with suicidal ideation. She understands that days can feel like a marathon filled with feelings of shame and untrue, negative stories we tell ourselves. Sidney enjoys empowering her clients to retell these stories and find meaning, truth, and hope within them to pave the way for a more authentic and fulfilling future. Sidney prides herself on being culturally competent, trauma-informed, and up-to-date on sociological concepts relevant to her clients’ experiences. When clients come to therapy asking “What is wrong with me?” Sidney challenges them to reframe their question to "What happened to me, and how can I heal from it?" and then helps her client discover the answer. In her free time, she enjoys spoiling her two American Akitas, Loki and Nani, playing video games, and listening to anything Ariana Grande, Chappell Roan, or Reneé Rapp. If you feel like Sidney may be a good fit, please reach out as she is always more than happy to field any questions from potential clients via email or phone!
