I view the counseling process as an agent of change where the counselor and the client(s) have mutually agreed to engage in work towards agreed upon goals to benefit the client. This relationship is built on mutual respect, specifically regarding the client’s worldview, beliefs, and autonomy. My theoretical orientation is eclectic and includes components of cognitive-behavioral theory, person-centered perspectives, and positive psychology. In my practice, I utilize strengths-based approaches and techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy. I love working with people in all stages of life, from early childhood to older adulthood. I have a great space that allows me to work with little ones as well as comfy seating for adults. My ideal clients are those who are looking for skills to overcome obstacles and/or individuals who need someone to hear their story, helping them heal from past wounds.
