My Name is Shirley Bowman , I am the owner of Daily Empowerment Counseling services. I am licensed in Georgia and South Carolina. I have been working in the field of counseling for 15 years. I use many forms of therapy but, I am a strong believer in Cognitive behavior Therapy (CBT) because, if one can change their thoughts their behaviors will follow.
In my first session my clients can expect a warm welcome, learn my style of counseling. I want to build rapport so that they will become a returning customer who is comfortable. We will do an assessment to learn more about the client which gives clarity on why they decided to seek services.
My greatest strength as a client is empowering the client to think for themselves and to look at things that has an affect on them and seek out the why in many situations. I encourage my client to talk as I actively listen to find a path for them. Many times, as they talk, they have answered their own question.
