I am a licensed mental health counselor with 8 years of experience working in a variety of settings, including, hospital, outpatient and group living environments. I strive to provide client-centered, strengths-based therapy and utilize cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral and expressive techniques in my counseling sessions. I enjoy actively involving my clients in the therapeutic process through psychoeducation/activities that further promotes understanding and progress towards their identified goals. My counseling interests include helping those struggling with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, relationships, trauma and issues with self-esteem and self-image. My experience has taught me to view each person as an individual with various experiences and to work with that individual to empower and support them on their unique journey. Together, we would work to build a collaborative and supportive therapeutic relationship and to help you learn positive coping and symptom management techniques.
