I believe we are listened into our voice and that "what most people really need is a good listening to" (Mary Lou Casey). In my work with clients, I strive to create a safe and resonant space in which clients can feel seen and heard and begin to see and hear themselves in new and different ways. I believe we all have an innate drive toward growth and healing which can, at times, become overwhelmed by life circumstances - both past and present - and that in the context of a supportive, empowering therapeutic relationship, we can rediscover our strengths and our deepest knowing. I embrace the integral role the body plays in healing by allowing us to access and move through residual states of overwhelm which may be unreachable through words alone. I have seven years' training in Somatic Experiencing, an approach to healing overwhelm in the nervous system. To learn more about SomaticExperiencing visit www.traumahealing.org. My clinical experience spans 20-plus years of working with clients across a broad range of concerns in both agency and private practice settings. I believe every client, and hence, every therapeutic relationship is unique. I would welcome the chance to connect with you via phone or in person to explore the possibility of working together.
