About

My ideal client is someone who is open to the therapy experience and is ready to challenge themselves to actively work toward feeling better. Someone who recognizes that while changes in behavior, mood, thinking, relationships, employment, parenting, lifestyle etc. may test our ability to cope, as they can be difficult and painful, how we respond to these changes/challenges ultimately determines the outcome. Someone who is willing to engage in a symbiotic, collaborative therapeutic relationship to work on their self determined goals, whatever they may be.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) based in Virginia with 25 years of experience. I have worked with people challenged by depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, family issues and life changing situations. I take a strength-based, client centered, solution focused approach in my clinical practice.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!
