About

I believe that each person has a unique self that must respected, recognized and understood. In order to find the right therapist I feel that there has to be a sense of connection and trust that develops over time. I try to help people understand how connections to their past and their fear of the future and of change keeps them trapped in cycles of behavior amd relationships that hinder their chances for a more fulfilling life and following their goals and dreams. I can work with anyone who attempts this experience of working together and exploring their life issues.

As a psychoanalyst I work with adults who have experienced difficulties in their major relationships and who have suffered trauma, loss, sexual or physical abuse and who experience high levels of anxiety, depression, anger and fear. I've also been trained extensively and worked a lot with children and adolescents and their families.

I have a practice in Manhattan on the upper west side and in nearby Teaneck, New Jersey. I offer evening hours and for those who can't make the weekday appointments I am available on Sunday in nearby New Jersey.
