I specifically work with young girls and women who are known as the high achievers and "Type-A." Despite doing well in their academics or careers, many of my clients have a strong inner critic that chips away at their self-esteem. This drive for perfection ultimately leads many girls and women to develop coping skills like extreme dieting or exercise, avoiding social settings, and often seeking reassurance from others. I help my clients learn that self-compassion does not mean letting your life goals slip, and that accepting your flaws is a hidden superpower. I am experienced in treating a variety of body image/eating disorders including Body Dysmorphia, Anorexia Nervosa, Orthorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder. In addition, I am well-versed in treating Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. In a society that praises unrealistic achievements and beauty standards, I provide a safe space for my clients to be their authentic selves. You can show up in your best dressed or in pj's and a messy bun; you will feel accepted either way.
