Dr. Gaphardt graduated from Boston College with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and then went on to earn a master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Richmond. Following this, Dr. Gaphardt completed her doctoral studies in Counseling and School Psychology at Rivier University. During her doctoral studies, Dr. Gaphardt gained experience in the field through placements at Greater Nashua Mental Health Center, Pine Haven Boys Center, and in the Merrimack, NH school district. She completed her pre-doctoral internship year at the Counseling Center at Keene State College. Dr. Gaphardt specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, phase of life challenges, grief, and women’s issues. She views therapy as a collaborative process in which identification of one’s strengths is essential to the healing process. She works from an integrated perspective that draws from cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, relational theory, and positive psychology.
