Shay has worked for over 5 years in the mental health field and has a Master's Degree in Social Work from Fordham University. She is a licensed social worker in both Utah and Florida, and has experience working with children, teens, adults, and families.She is passionate about using a trauma-informed, attachment focused, and strengths-based as well as solution-focused approach when working with clients. She has experience using modalities such as play and art therapy, sand tray therapy, CBT/DBT, and EMDR. She has worked with clients with a wide range of needs relating to anxiety/depression, neurodivergency, LGBTQIA+, trauma, various relationship dynamics (divorce, abuse, co-dependency, etc), and more. She spent 4 years working with women in substance use recovery, helping them regain custody of their children and build upon their parenting skills. One of her favorite aspects of being a therapist is getting to cross paths with so many unique individuals on their journey of happiness, healing, self-discovery, and learning more about mental health!
