I believe the relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important aspects of effective therapy. Because of this, I seek to create a safe, trauma-informed environment for everyone who enters my office. My goal is to help clients cultivate healthy relationships with the most vulnerable parts of themselves by emphasizing self-compassion and exploring how painful past experiences are impacting them in the present. At the center of my therapeutic work is the belief that all “symptoms” are adaptations our brains and bodies have used to protect us and keep us safe from pain and suffering. Working with me, you can expect to honor those survival skills while learning more functional, longer-term ways of coping. Starting therapy can be daunting, and it is important to find a therapist who is a good fit! Please reach out if you have any questions or to set up a free consultation session.
