About

Hi, I’m Shawna Joyce. I believe that if you listen to a person’s life story, you will find that everything they do makes sense. I knew very early that I wanted to dedicate my life to listening to peoples’ stories. I wanted to help them to make sense of their lives so that their understanding and insight could aid them in making positive changes. View 21 Photos

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have worked as a therapist for over 15 years. I work with adults and couples, using an eclectic mix of therapeutic techniques. Some of my favorites are Person-Centered, Solution-Focused, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Paradoxical Intervention and the Gottman Method.

My therapeutic approach is based on the belief that we all have insight and solutions within ourselves. Often, we can benefit from some compassionate, non-judgmental guidance in getting in touch with our authentic selves. On this journey together, we can discover the changes that you truly want to make and how to bring your inner wisdom to the surface.
