You can make the change you want. And I can help. I can assist you in transforming negative and destructive thoughts and behavior into more helpful and compassionate responses. I start with assessing your particular patterns that are self-defeating to what you would like to change in your life. Then I design a program to help you change these behaviors and cope with your existing situation. This mindfulness-based therapy emphasizes working together to help you with depression, anxiety, addictions, eating disorders, and chronic or emotional pain; resolve relationship issues; or recover from trauma and grief. In my clinical practice, I work with individuals, couples and families to reduce thinking and behavioral patterns that cause difficulty and distress. I am an adoption competent therapist. In the forensic practice, I do parenting consulting for post-decree divorced couples who need help with co-parenting. I work with individuals to help reduce conflict in mind, body and behavior. I work with families to reduce marital and parent-child conflicts, and "baby blues." I work with families and children affected by trauma through divorce, or adoption, to reduce continued conflict and enhance communication. I enjoy leading Dialectical Behavior Therapy Groups.
