About

Welcome! I am passionate about working with my clients and assisting them through their challenging journeys. My emphasis as a therapist is on relationships and family. With my emphasis on relationships, I work with individual adults, couples, and teens/adolescents. I also specialize in providing parent guidance/coaching. My belief is that individuals are the experts on their lives and that therapy is a collaborative process. I utilize evidence-based psychotherapy practices, Emotion-focused therapy principles and interventions, and systems based concepts. I welcome individuals and couples of any sexual orientation and background.

I am a licensed independent marriage and family therapist as well as an AAMFT approved supervisor. I earned my PhD in counselor education and supervision with a speciality in marriage and family therapy from The University of Akron. I have a Master's degree in communication research and a bachelor's in psychology. I am also a part time professor.

My approach is gentle but direct and I place importance on honesty and accountability. My expertise in working with systems will ensure that you will never feel blamed. Through a calm and safe space, I believe that you will be able to establish and utilize effective coping skills to feel empowered and ready to face the different events that arise.
