About

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a special focus on providing therapy for adults and couples. Depression, anxiety, personality disorders, relationship conflicts, unhealthy behaviors, and identity issues are among the broad areas in which I practice. Though the reasons you are seeking therapy might fit into one of these categories, your experiences and circumstances are unique--as is the way you communicate, your personality, and your sensibilities. I consider understanding who you are as a person, your desires and challenges, to be my primary task.

I often see (and successfully treat) people who have had disappointing experiences in previous therapies. There are many reasons this happens and it does not mean that therapy is not for you. Having doubts about the therapy process and being discerning when choosing a therapist suggest thoughtfulness on your part.

Landing in a therapy that feels just right for you is the goal. Though a therapist's credentials, background, and approach can help narrow the field, ultimately, a face-to-face meeting provides the most useful information. I offer a free 30-minute consultation to help with this process.
