About

What brings people to therapy varies, but some of the individuals I work with are folks who: are children of parents with mental illness or substance use issues, struggle with interpersonal relationships, tend toward self-criticism, self-sabotage, or have intrusive thoughts, feel immobilized to pursue their goals, have perfectionistic tendencies and high expectations for self and others, who want to unlearn unhelpful messages from family or societal systems, or wish to explore their gender or sexuality.

Psychotherapy can have a profound impact when the client and therapist are well-matched. During sessions, I try to balance a curious, humorous, and compassionate approach that also challenges clients to understand and shift patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating that may contribute to distress.

If you feel like my approach is right for you, I invite you to schedule a 15-minute introductory call. Seeking support takes courage, and I'm here to address any questions or concerns you may have about beginning psychotherapy.
