I work with clients who are wanting: to develop trust in their intuition and establish a stronger relationship with their internal authority, to recover from dysfunctional family dynamics through establishing more security in themselves and their relationships, to deepen their sense of empowerment through both self-accountability and self-compassion, to build a relationship with spirituality and connection to a higher power, to lovingly reparent oneself by tending to the needs of the inner child, to navigate phase of life transitions and self-forgiveness, and/or to recover from high achievement and perfectionism. View 5 Photos The therapeutic modalities I am trained in include attachment-based Emotion-Focused Therapy, Somatic/Body Therapy, EMDR, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I believe we can author new narratives for our lives by having new experiences of ourselves. Psychotherapy should not solely be a cognitive exercise, but a real-live experiencing of who we are becoming. The Irish-language phrase "Anam Cara" means soul friend, and I strongly believe in the psychological research that demonstrates how the relationship between client and therapist is one of the most key parts of effective therapy. I encourage potential clients to listen to their intuition by noticing internal resonance, synchronicity, and embodied experience.
