I feel that taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health. Whether you are new to therapy or returning after some time away, I commend you in taking this step. Life is full of ups and downs and we all need help and support. There is strength in seeking that for yourself. I feel that it is an honor to sit with people and hear their stories, sometimes things they’ve never told anyone before. I don’t take that responsibility lightly. I approach therapy as a collaborative effort. A therapist told me years ago, “It’s not my job to tell you what’s best for you. It’s my job to help you figure out what’s best for you.” That has stuck with me, and informed my own practice with clients. You are the expert of your life, and I respect that. I want to work with you on whatever your goals may be. I enjoy expanding my knowledge and seeking out evidence-based practices as I work with clients, catering to their needs and circumstances. I feel my own personal life experiences are an asset in understanding and connecting with others. I look forward to meeting you wherever you may be in life, and being part of your journey of continued self-improvement.
