I am a clinical psychologist who works with adolescents and adults. My goal is to help you or your child understand and break free of self-defeating patterns, and to feel more connected and whole. I view the relationship between therapist and patient as a powerful vehicle for change. It is in the context of this unique relationship that people have the opportunity to learn about their strengths as well as parts of themselves that may hold them back. While this process of self-discovery is sometimes painful, it provides the opportunity for deep and lasting change. I am a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental therapist who will tailor my approach to your needs and personality. I am attentive to culture and offer a space in which you can be my teacher about the different layers of your identity, including race, ethnicity, class, religion, sexuality and gender. I have worked with people of many backgrounds carrying diverse mental health, relationship, and identity issues. I welcome you to contact me even if you do not know exactly why you are drawn to therapy. Finding answers to this question can be the most important step you take towards change.
