Philip Himmelstein is a Master’s candidate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Alvernia University completing his internship at ACRS. Previously he studied psychology and neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh and has over 8 years experience working in inpatient, outpatient, counseling, and clinical research. Philip has worked with clients who have anxiety, depression, bipolar, personality disorders & addictions. He uses CBT, mindfulness-based practices & DBT while also finding inspiration from philosophy & positive, social, emotion-focused, and cognitive psychologies. His approach to counseling focuses on humility, trust & authenticity.
