I treat a wide variety of clinical disorders such as depression, anxiety, OCD, and personality disorders. However, I specialize in the treatment of addiction to drugs, alcohol, and sexually compulsive behaviors better known as “sex addiction.” The reason I don’t prefer that term is because it oversimplifies both the subjective experience and the symptoms. For example, overuse of pornography, or countless hours spent browsing single’s ads online doesn’t necessarily involve sex, but it can be compulsive. I see all types of people with all types of issues, not just addiction. If I feel like I am not able to help you, I will tell you up front, and I will help you find someone who is a good fit for you. I believe you should get a return on your investment when working with a therapist. Because of that, I use a variety of different evidence-based approaches to help you achieve results. I also believe in being an active participant in the therapeutic process. We should both be woking hard.
