I am a Licensed Masters Social Worker, practicing in the states of New York and Connecticut. I recognize that social stressors, socioeconomic issues, balance of work/family life, and relationship issues can impact ones mental health. I was influenced by these issues to partner with others facing these challenges to support them on their journeys to emotional and mental well being. I have worked in the social service field for 20 years. I have experience with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, self esteem issues, and other mental health issues. I practice from a Humanistic Approach, utilizing Solution Focused Brief Therapy, among other therapies. I also subscribe to the Strengths and Empowerment Based Perspective. I also utilize Behavior Activation to help those that I support to recognize how replacing behaviors can help to reduce feelings of loneliness, anxiety and depression. I welcome those who are seeking support, from an active listener, to help balance the stressors of everyday life. It is important to me to dispel the stigma and negative perceptions surrounding seeking mental health care, particularly among vulnerable populations. If you are reading this, congratulations for taking a step towards wellness.
