About

Hi, I’m Selima Jumarali, a queer, Indo-Caribbean, Muslim femme of color with a doctorate in philosophy from the University of Maryland. I offer a compassionate, interactive space where we explore your identity—whether that’s racial, gender, sexual, or religious—and help you thrive in a world that often feels oppressive for those with multiple marginalized identities. I specialize in helping clients cope with trauma, chronic illness, grief, and self-compassion. I can support you in gaining control and acceptance over your emotions, understanding what they’re signaling, and quieting your inner critic.

I specialize in supporting BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients with identity exploration, trauma recovery, and self-compassion. Drawing from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Interpersonal Process Therapy, I help you navigate emotional challenges, build healthy relationships, and create a fulfilling life.

I understand that life can feel overwhelming, especially when navigating multiple identities and challenges. I’m here to listen, support, and help you develop the tools you need to thrive. If you’re ready to explore your emotions, build self-compassion, and create a fulfilling life, I’m here to walk alongside you.
