About

At times it may seem as if we're at odds with our mind. The thoughts and feelings we experience seem overwhelming. We can convince ourselves we're undeserving of contentment, love, happiness, success, acceptance, etc. Where does that come from and why is it so easy to believe? For those of us in the LGBTQIA+ community, there are added layers we need to work through, making it difficult for us to thrive. Therapy can play a meaningful role by providing a space to work through the layers, confront our hurtful thoughts and feelings, unburden ourselves of the past, and truly learn to thrive.

There are many ways to achieve mental health and well-being. I believe the first step is finding a space in which you can express yourself without judgment. Expression leads to understanding, and understanding leads to empathy. It's my job to hold this space for my clients.

As an out clinician, I've worked with and advocated for my community for more than 16 years. Additionally, I've taught aspiring clinicians how to effectively work with the LGBTQIA+ population. I welcome you to reach out and set up a free consultation to see if this is a good fit. There's nothing to lose.
