Scott Leenan’s approach to psychotherapy is rooted in a variety of therapeutic modalities, including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), positive psychology, narrative therapy and existentialism. For Scott, becoming human is a project; our task is not so much to discover who we are, but rather to ‘create’ ourselves. During therapy sessions, he works with clients to identify and examine their personal values and priorities, beliefs, goals, and perceptions of reality. He also works with clients on stress management, personal growth and development, finding purpose and cultivating balance. These groups help individuals improve their ability to regulate emotions, tolerate distressing and negative emotions and become mindful and present in the moment. Observe anyone at the top of their game and the results will likely be the same! They've all had valuable guidance and direction. During coaching and therapy, we partner together in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires one to maximize their personal and professional potential.
